Hinemosu notari
Notari kana - The sea in spring,
Tireless rases itself,

First Painting
Traditional song, counting for the game.
Zui zui zukkorobashiSecond Painting
A poem of gleaming simplicity stretched out to catch the unrepeatable moment, traditionaly tied to nature, noble and rich in meaning for its magic capability of evoking without ever describing.
Haiku written by Shoen Iggo
Free from excesses of expression that characterise almost all of the western poetry, the Haiku give more than any other form, maybe the meaning of 'not being' typical Zen.
Shoen's production inserts itsself in this antique tradition with the intent of catching its most impalpable aspects, to draw near to a contemporaneity that still now apears dazzling to us.
taken from Zen Poetry by S. Suzuki, Bartheleme & Co., Publishing, New York
